JULY 2024 NEWSLETTER

Jul 29, 2024 | News, Newsletters

Welcome to the July 2024 edition of the Highways and Byways newsletter!

In this issue, we announce the successful recipients of our 2024 Small Grants Program, Valuing Community Connections in an Ancient Land. We are pleased to be supporting 33 small communities across regional and remote Australia to make a difference where its needed.

We bring you news from our previous small grants programs, including updates from projects that reconnected Indigenous people with their culture, and projects that shared sustainable gardening skills with teens, supported home gardeners and enhanced the knowledge of farmers.

You will also find updates on our long-term programs, including news from Seeds of Connection in Queensland, and our Tasmanian programs Restoring Nature and Communities with North East Bioregional Network, and the Free2b Girls’ Free2B Time project.

This year is a particularly special one for us, as the Missionary Sisters of Service celebrate their 80th anniversary. We are honoured that through our grants, events and programs we can continue the legacy of these incredible women.
